soooo finallyyy...
time to review the movie!!
I can only describe it as Awetastic!!!
When i was asked to name by favourite scene by my vocalist, i'd said the movie. There were actions, explosions in the sky, more actions and let's not forget character development. How about character development for a comic book adapted movie. its got more depth than any of its competitor in this genre.
The mirth of a brand new contender. I'd make a safe bet for me to say, maybe just maybe Heath's (bless him) portrayal of the macabre mirth the joker was just about the best villian i've ever seen in my days. I think he nailed it, his voice, his every movement, his stance, his everythang is what any bat fan boy would ever dream of (of course I am not talking about the joker from the tight spandex days of batman and robin, but the dark days of batman in the graphic novel.) and it was definitely something late Heath can be absolutely proud of in his already shiny collection in his portfolio. I really thought I heard echoes of his laughter when he laughed in the scenes.
Making his own chances. Aaron Ackhart who portrays District Attorney Harvey Dent, made his own chances with just about one of his top performance in this flick. Having to juggle between 2 sides of a coin, in this one movie, was a huge leap of test for any professionals. To be fair to Tommy Lee Jones, Ackhart had a cooler script and a darker movie to really play with, Harvey Dent and his latter future's full potential.
Living long enough to be a villian. This is perhaps the best portrayal of batman's darker psyche ever. Yes Michael Keaton did a great job in 1989 and 1992, but lets not compare please. Tim Burton is very different from Christopher Nolan. Bale was able keep that solemn face the entire movie without forcing us to think that he is an emo dude, his worries are all equally accounted for. Especially fantastic was how he showed us a younger more naive batman and then later a matured batman. Scenes where he really thought he can be undone with things but later realize what it takes to be a dark knight, the sacrifices, the pains and endangering the people he is close to just to make Gotham a greater place.
Gotham City went behind the driving seat in this one. Gotham City was the reason why Bruce becames the bats, and things circling around it in Batman Begins. But this one round, its all about the people in Gotham, it was more character oriented.
Scenes in the movie were very very very very well exacuted. How each scene cuts to the other is exactly how an awesome book is told. One scene however caught my eyes and definitely glimpses of the magic Francis Ford Coppola would be proud of. There was a scene with Godfather-sque clearing out of the competitors simulteanously.
All in all, I thought this was a batman history movie, even though it did not show how joker became joker, but there was possible answers to it in the movie, it really showed how each character became who they are later. Lt Gordon to Commissioner Gordon, Naive Batman to the Dark Knight, Harvey Dent to Two Face. One for both the fans and laymen to enjoy.

word man i really enjoyed the movie, even though there was all the hype and immense expectation for the movie to perform prior to the release. like eddy i think the character development was the focus and it was interesting because of that. every movie (except for he cheesy ones) will have the development of a plot or story line but not every one will have advanced character development. though i'm not a hardcore movie buff and batman fan i still found it to be a solid watch.. i know it's kinda late to say this now considering it's october but nevertheless it is one of the best movies of the year and will be remembered for it's quality.
