hey eXcessifs!
As you know this group is all about bringing people into this wonderful and magnificent relationship with Jesus and so this thread is going to be where we post our experiences and testimonies on our evangelism mission. Post the funny, sad, astonishing .... experiences that you have even though the person you talk to may not be saved yet. After all, it is God who speaks into the heart of a person and saves them; we are just His instruments. It may just be a simple conversation or even a two liners but don't discount that short experience because we have a very powerful God who works in very very powerful and amazing ways.
So bring on those experiences and let's continue to motivate each other in our mission to win souls for Christ!

Well Said. Here is a Two liner. Still Alive!! now thats something I'm real thankful for.
Anyway heres a very recent(date:6/3/08) testimony and this is a real small one so i don't really want to create a new post.
So yesterday morning while i was in school, i kinda lost my File. This file is a pretty general File. So i have everything that is not compiled into a book inside it. Consent forms, Notes, Homeworks and what-nots. So yeah I LOST IT. Went pretty Crazy when i finally found out it was lost, after my social studies class. So i rush to those class that i had lessons previously in that morning. But to no avail.
So after the failed search i was seriously freaking out. cause i have a geography work that was due on that day and the punishment for not being punctual with that work is a 2-hr detention. So i went into the toilet during english class and prayed for my file to be found or returned by some kind soul.
And by god's awesomeness, i managed to find my file back on my second search after school and i managed to hand up my work on time! Whats more amazing, i searched the same place during my first search. that means some kind soul actually put my file back at the place where he/she took it from.

Today for my dinner break i was just having MOS burger at those benches outside PS cos i need some warmth and fresh air. Then there came this lady who wanted to do a beauty survey with me so i obediently went thru the survey and after that we chatted. It all started when she asked me what i was eating and i told her MOS burger and she was like commenting she's Buddhist and can't eat beef if not she'll be punished by the others. (I think she saw the BIG silver cross i was wearing on my neck that's how she brought in her religion) But she told me she really wish she could taste beef.
I thought that would be the best moment that I could share God with her and how God does not condemn one becos of what he or she eats but then I felt inadequate to do it because we were communicating in Mandarin and i din noe how to express the gospel in Mandarin. Then later came 2 of her colleague who were aunties around 40++ and they started talking to me also. It so happened that they stay in Serangoon too! haha...somehow i always meet my neighbourhood ppl. They spoke in Mandarin too and were very excited to know that i stay near them. One of them said no wonder we can clique off so well (in Mandarin of course!) I tried to stay on as long as i could to talk to them and encourage them in their work cos to collect survey from ppl is really difficult.
Although i did not manage to share Christ with them becos of the inadequacy i had, I prayed in my heart that one day Jesus will work a miracle in them.
Another thing that i learnt thru this encounter was the importance of being versatile when it comes to evangelism. I know many of us are not fluent in Mandarin or have no interest in learning Chinese, but it made me realize that there are many people out there who speak this language and are in need to hear the Gospel but the current generation is losing touch with the language which then makes it fewer ppl to reach out to these people. When we talk about speaking the language of the people we reach out too, in this case it does really literally mean speak the language. I was like hoping i could have learnt abt the salvation story in Chinese than i can share with them. And i guess this is what i'm gona start to do since i work in the bkshop with quite a few Chinese bks.
My dad is non-Christian and he's Chinese speaking. The reason i did not reach out to him is because i duno how to communicate the gospel in Chinese. I don't want my dad to miss heaven when the day comes. I want him to know Jesus too.
